Salute to the Brave: HERO Project sponsor Sphinx Crossfit has ramped up its support by donating the military-inspired tactical race course equipment for the thrilling Battle of the Brigades portion of this Veterans Day event to honor our heroes. Top Rocker Events and Savage 4×4 presents Salute to the Brave: HERO Project 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 11 at Top Rocker Field at Six Bends in Fort Myers. The second event in the Morgan & Morgan Signature Series, Salute to the Brave features a dignified ceremony, monstrous vehicle rebuilds, a lifted truck show, food, music and Sphinx Crossfit’s grueling obstacle course challenge, with proceeds benefitting AVOW.

The Battle of the Brigades is a timed tactical training-inspired obstacle course open to 10 four-person teams competing under two divisions: Heroes and Corporate. Teams will compete through a series of challenging obstacles. Corporate teams can register for $250 per team or $500 to register themselves and sponsor a veteran team, while Hero team registration is free at salutetothebraveheroproject.eventbrite.com.

Salute to the Brave is a free event that kicks off with a special honor ceremony including the national anthem, honor guard and veteran pinning led by AVOW. Savage 4×4 will reveal three rebuilt vehicles to the deserving recipients of their Hero Project builds. In addition to the Battle of the Brigades obstacle run, attendees will enjoy live music by Unforgiven and cuisine from a variety of popular food trucks.

Beneficiary Avow was the first nonprofit hospice in Collier County providing care for adults facing chronic or serious illness. A proud “4-star” We Honor Veterans partner, its efforts include matching veteran hospice patients with staff and volunteers who also served in the military, making Avow an ideal nonprofit partner for Salute to the Brave.
